This resource was created to end the topic of food from Listos 2 on a festive note. Students work out the recipe in English by practising translation skills and then bring their version of it for a friendly bake off competition. The ones who can't bake (for various reasons) become judges and give marks on presentation and taste Highly successful lesson which my Y8 classes really enjoy year after year and teach them a little about a Spanish tradition.

Students can stick at the back of exercise books and use as reference to practise new tenses and/or create sentences. It includes patterns for regular -ER; -IR;-RE verbs, main irregular verbs and time phrases linked to each tense.

To get in the Christmas spirit and promote languages, my MFL department has been running a very successful competition over the last few years. Students use their creative skills to produce an original Advent Calendar using as much target language as possible.
